Course Description: This course introduces the IFSB-31: Guiding Principles for Effective Supervision of Sharīʿah Governance Systems, focusing on how supervisors can assess, monitor, and strengthen Sharīʿah governance frameworks across Islamic financial institutions. Participants will learn how effective governance supports financial integrity, accountability, and systemic stability. Topics include supervisory expectations for Sharīʿah boards, internal controls, compliance and audit functions, and disclosure requirements.
