Kuala Lumpur, 27 January 2015 – The Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) is pleased to announce the launching of the IFSB website (www.ifsb.org) in the Arabic language.
As a background, the Arabic version of the IFSB website was initially proposed by its members in the Membership Satisfaction Survey conducted in 2011. This proposal was, in turn, taken up by the Secretariat, which was approved by the IFSB Council as a part its Workplan.
Jaseem Ahmed, the Secretary-General of the IFSB said in his statement, “The launch of this Arabic version of the IFSB website is a continuation of the IFSB’s efforts to reach out to our Arabic speaking members and industry stakeholders. Further, it aims to build a greater understanding of the role of the IFSB and we hope it will lead to wider adoption of the IFSB’s standards and guidelines, especially in the MENA region.”
The IFSB Arabic website is a mirror version of its English website, which provides information on the IFSB structure, standards and guidelines, membership as well as current and future activities. It also features the IFSB publications and press releases.
The IFSB Secretariat invites all interested parties, especially the IFSB members, to send their feedback on the Website to the Secretariat at: [email protected].
The Arabic website is accessible from www.ifsb.org.
