Kuala Lumpur, 13 December 2010 – The Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) is organising a series of seminars in the first quarter of 2011. The Seminars aim to enhance awareness on topical issues in the Islamic financial services industry. The Seminars cover the following areas: 1) issues relating to the role of indexes in the Islamic capital markets; 2) issues in Islamic capital market products; 3) Basel III and contingent capital; 4) Sharī`ah structure and compliance in promoting financial stability; and 5) liquidity management in the Islamic financial services industry. In addition, the IFSB will organise its Public Lecture on Financial Policy and Stability.
The Seminars and the Public Lecture are open for participation by the IFSB member organisations, as well as the business, legal, and financial community at large. The following programme agendas and registration forms are available on the IFSB website (www.ifsb.org).
