SUMMARY:Regulatory and Supervisory Authorities (RSAs) Online Workshops
DESCRIPTION: The Regulatory and Supervisory Authorities (RSAs) Workshops is an annual event organized by IFSB and dedicated to all its RSAs Members. These workshops cover topics related to the three main Islamic financial sectors namely Islamic banking\, Islamic capital market and Takaful (Islamic insurance). The workshops focus primarily on IFSB prudential and regulatory standards as an endeavor to create awareness regarding the best practices in the light of these standards. \nThe first set of RSA workshops for this year will be covering Islamic capital market segment during 29-30 August 2022. Beside presenting an outlook for the Islamic capital markets\, two IFSB standards will be discussed namely IFSB-26 (Islamic finance Regulation – Islamic financial infrastructure) and IFSB-19 (Disclosure requirements for Islamic capital market products). \nThe second set of the RSA workshops will be conducted on 5-6 September 2022 for the Islamic banking segment where two IFSB standards will be presented. The first is IFSB-16 (Key elements in supervisory review process of IIFS)\, while the second standard will be about IFSB-22 (Disclosure to promote transparency and market discipline for IIFS). \nTakaful segment will be covered through IFSB-20 (Key elements in supervisory review process for takaful/retakaful) and IFSB-25 (Disclosure to promote transparency and market discipline for takaful/retakaful).
