Overview
 
A first ever e-workshop dedicated to a newly published IFSB Standard – IFSB-23.
 
This session is an evidence and outcome of years of sustained efforts by all stakeholders to provide enhanced guidance to the Regulatory and Supervisory authorities in terms of capital adequacy framework for institutions offering Islamic banking services.
 
A new standards is aimed to make capital adequacy regulation more comprehensive and robust, and in tune with global best practice.
 
Given that IFSB-23 is a revised standards of its predecessor – IFSB-15, this session will bring analysis on substantial differences between these two standards. During the session facilitator will address an updates in the regulatory framework of capital components for IIFS that comply with Shariah and Basel requirement, capital adequacy treatment of IIFS exposures relating to sukuk in line with the current global regulatory standards, and other measures.
